Barry’s GenSites: Boston College Center for Irish Studies

Posted on Jun 13, 2012

This is an evolving site that offers some real interesting information and because it is an educational institution, much of the material is free.  One of the treasures is the searchable online database for the Boston Pilot.  From 1831 to 1921, The Boston Pilot offered a weekly list of Irish immigrants being sought by relatives, friends or acquaintances; the more than 31,000 entries are now online.
