Posted on Aug 06, 2012

At the website, you can search the main archives catalog.  There are also databases of locally-proved wills and administrations from 1492 to 1940; railway staff in western Cheshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, and north and mid Wales from around 1869 to 1950; freemen of the City of Chester 1747-1925.  Also find burial records of Overleigh Cemetery, Chester from 1850 to 1950.  In addition, the site also holds 19th-century maps of the county, as well as 20th-century maps and aerial photographs for comparison.
