Barry's Relatively Speaking: Postman Provides Link
Posted on Dec 03, 2012
Barry's Relatively Speaking shares the personal experiences and stories of genealogists found in the Everton Genealogical Helper Magazine collection on MyGenShare.com. Dorothy shares the following experience.
No, I didn't find out that my postman and I are third cousins, once removed. But, I did have an amusing experience, "genealogically" speaking. I received a phone call from a woman who asked if I was doing genealogy using a computer. She wanted some advice on programs available for genealogical computing.
I have been using a computer for about two years so we had a lively conversation for a few minutes. At the close she said that her husband had been after her to call me for almost a year. Then she confessed that her husband was my postman. Thus he knew that I got both genealogical (including The Genealogical Helper) and computer mail!
