Not only can you search the record office's catalog, you can also view many of its holdings online.  There are digital images of Essex (and eastern Hertfordshire) wills, parish registers, Directories, photographs, drawings, maps and plans, bastardy orders, settlement certificates and removal orders.  Such as the following: 8 November 1787 [Removal order for vagrant, with settlement examination] Mordecai Norman was arrested in Terling, held at Chelmsford House of Correction, and ordered to be removed to Saffron Walden.

Click on the link "Cemeteries" at the bottom of the page to get to the Cemetery Search Page and then choose your state from the drop-down search box and search by cemetery name.  There are also some tips on the site. For example, if you're looking for cemeteries by county, search for the county first, then click on the cemeteries link on the county page.  Alternatively, if you're looking for cemeteries near a community, search for the community first, then click on the nearby cemeteries link.
